Mitch Kaplan, founder of Books & Books – and last month’s cover subject – has found a way to make sure the rent never gets out of control for his flagship store on Aragon Avenue: he and two partners have purchased the historic 1927 building where B&B moved in 2001. The trio paid $15 million for the complex; the partners are Raimundo Lopez-Lima Levi and Eric Glinsky of the account firm Lopez Levi Lowenstein Glinksy, P.A., located on Alhambra Circle.
